A tasty simple marinade that fits well with pork.
Served with roasted potatoes and steamed broccoli.
Mix olive oil, soy sauce, honey and lime juice until you have an even marinade. Add pepper and crushed garlic.
Add the pork steaks to the marinade and leave in room temperature for 30 minutes or a bit longer.
About 40 minutes before serving, start the potatoes: heat the oven to 425Β°F. Cut the potatoes into bite-size pieces, toss with the olive oil, salt and pepper, and roast for 25β30 minutes until golden, turning once. If the oven is already in use at a lower temperature, roast on another rack and allow 10β15 minutes longer.
Preheat your grill/frying pan. Add marinated steaks, grill for 2 minutes, flip, repeat until you've grilled them for 10 minutes total. Towards the last minutes pour the remaining marinade over the steaks.
Steam or microwave the broccoli until tender, about 5 minutes, then toss with the butter, a squeeze of lemon and a pinch of salt.
Let the steaks rest for 10 minutes before serving.
